Boys Classes 5+
Our Boys Gymnastics program provides a fun way to get your child active, athletic and focused. We offer multiple classes for children of all ages and skill levels. Boys progress through four recreational skills levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Advanced Gold.
All classes are one hour and include a warm-up, rotations on rings, vault, parallel bars, floor, mushroom, pommel horse, high bar and trampoline and end with a game!
This is an introductory class. Boys will learn 38 basic gymnastic skills on boys’ gymnastics apparatus. Upon completion of this level, gymnasts will be promoted to a Silver Gymnastics Class.
Some fun Bronze skills include:
- Front roll and back roll on floor
- Tuck hang and straddle hang on rings
- Front support and leg casting on bars
*GOAL: To promote to Boys Silver
This is an intermediate gymnastics class. Prerequisites for this class: gymnast must pass Boys Bronze or placement evaluation. Boys will show tremendous athletic growth and discipline.
Some fun Silver skills include:
- Cartwheel on floor
- Front support mount and swings on parallel bars
- Swings and inverted tuck on rings
*GOAL: To promote to Boys Gold or Team ASI
This is an advanced level gymnastics class. Prerequisites for this class: gymnast must pass Boys Silver or placement evaluation. Boys gain power, endurance, concentration, and poise.
Some fun Gold skills include:
- Swings and leg cuts on pommel horse
- Pullover on bars
- Backdrop and stomach drops on trampoline
*GOAL: To promote to Boys Advanced Gold or Team ASI
This is the most advanced level gymnastics class. Prerequisites for this class: gymnast must pass Boys Gold or placement evaluation. Develop strength, sophistication, polish, and refinement.
Some fun Advanced Gold skills include:
- Roundoff on Floor
- Skin the cat dismount and inverted pike on rings
- Leg cuts sequence on pommel horse
